The annual Royal Rumble premium live event is only a few days away and anticipation for the show is at an all time high. With plenty of open spots in both Royal Rumble matches fans are expecting to see some surprises at the event.

Recently it was reported that Sheamus is expected to return at some point in the near future and now it seems that the former WWE Champion is teasing a potential appearance in the Royal Rumble. The Celtic Warrior took to social media to post an old video of him entering the Royal Rumble and it’s worth noting that the video features his old “Written In My Face” theme song. Sheamus also jokingly referenced the often misquoted lyrics when he posted the following:

“too many limes.”

Sheamus hasn’t been shy about letting the world know that he wants “Written In My Face” to return someday as he told Inside The Ropes in September of 2022 that he’s been trying to bring the song back.

“I definitely would love to bring that song back. Before, I know, it was stopped, they weren’t gonna let me have it. It’s amazing what a song can do or an entrance music can do to bring people back in with that nostalgia.”

“I definitely will keep pushing to have that song back, and it’s something that I haven’t given up on. But I think there’ll be a time and place for that to come back.”

So far the following names have been confirmed for the men’s Royal Rumble match:

– Cody Rhodes
– CM Punk
– Shinsuke Nakamura
– Bobby Lashley
– Drew McIntyre
– Gunther
– Kofi Kingston
– Damian Priest
