It’s been years since fans have seen Alberto Del Rio make an appearance on WWE programming as he last parted ways with the company in 2016. Since then the former WWE Champion has openly stated that he would like to return, but it doesn’t seem that a return for Alberto is in the plans at the moment.
During an appearance on The Wrassingh Show by Wrasslinews, Alberto Del Rio commented on his current status with WWE and he noted that he can’t even talk to any from the new WWE regime at the moment.
“No, not at the moment. There was at the beginning of this year. There were some approaches but they didn’t come from Hunter. I think this new administration is in charge of the WWE, I can’t even talk to any of them. I don’t know if I will, I hope I do. I think many, many millions of people agree that I should be doing one last thing with this company, and that’s not up to me. We’ll see, time will tell.”
