The WWE roster is loaded with talent at the moment, but there are a number of wrestlers who are currently sidelined due to injury. It looks like Sheamus has been added to the injured list as Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the former WWE Champion is currently out of action due to a “really bad” shoulder injury.
More details regarding the injury and how long Sheamus could be out of action were not revealed. However, it was confirmed that the injury is the reason why Sheamus has not been appearing on TV or at live events in recent weeks.
Sheamus last competed on TV when he faced off against Edge on the August 18th episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Toronto. Edge picked up the win over Sheamus and ahead of the bout the Rated R Superstar revealed that it was the last match on his WWE contract.
The Celtic Warrior has been part of the WWE roster for years now, but it was recently reported that his current contract with the company is up in early 2024. We’ll just have to wait and see how things play out for Sheamus when it comes to his injury and contract status.
