It’s been a big year for WWE departures as surprising names like The Wyatt Sicks, The New Day and more have all parted ways with the company. On Sunday it was reported that Sheamus was on his way out of the company after he declined to sign a restructured contract.
Following the news regarding Sheamus rejecting WWE’s offer to sign a restructured contract, the company has officially moved the former WWE Champion to the alumni section on their official website.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that the situation with Sheamus is identical to the situation that led to Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston leaving WWE. It’s being said that TKO is in the business of paying stars who move business incredible amounts of money, but less so when it comes to those who don’t move business.
Sheamus is currently 48 and has been hurt a lot over the last few years. At this point it’s not clear what his next move is, or if All Elite Wrestling might be interested in signing him.
