Some wrestlers are lucky enough to have a long career in the world of professional wrestling, and Rob Van Dam has proved that he can still go inside the ring. Even though Rob Van Dam is still capable of competing in the ring, he’s not wrestling on a regular basis nowadays, and it sounds like he’s given some consideration to taking on other roles.

During a recent episode of his 1 Of A Kind podcast the former WWE Champion said that he does have interest in helping out other talent, but he made it clear that he doesn’t want to become a commentator.

I have some interest, though, in helping out. Me and Katie [Forbes] were talking about that earlier. I never thought I would have before, but like I said, if someone’s not at zero and it’s just pointing out things that I see that could make them better, I do that all the time anyway.

So I could see doing that, especially with the big welcome vibe, like ‘you’re welcome here any time.’ That really encourages that as well, me feeling like, ‘Maybe I could see me sometime maybe lending a hand in that way, doing that.’

But I couldn’t see that before, and now I can. Katie said she wants to see me commentate. I’m like, I still can’t see that one. I can’t imagine acting like I’m really excited about something I’m watching that is not exciting me at all. I don’t think that’s for me.”
