WrestleMania is quickly approaching and some of the biggest names in WWE have been confirmed for the card. However, as of this writing The Miz has not been announced for the show.
Recently the former WWE Champion spoke to Alistair McGeorge of Metro about his current WrestleMania status, and he opened up about potentially being left off the card this year.
“No! No, it’s not easy! You kidding me? As a WWE superstar, if your goal is not to main event WrestleMania and be the WWE or [World Heavyweight] Champion, then you shouldn’t be here.
“So my goal is always to do that. If the cards don’t fall where they may, you better believe I’m trying my best to to try to get into a spot, or trying to get to that level of what I feel I can produce. And I do feel I can produce at that level still to this day. It’s just, you know, sometimes the cards don’t fall where they may.”
Last year at WrestleMania 40, The Miz and R-Truth walked away with gold when they won the Raw Tag Team Titles. The year before at WrestleMania 39, The Miz competed in two impromptu matches when he was defeated by Pat McAfee and Snoop Dogg on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
With only a few weeks to go before WrestleMania we’ll have to wait and see if The Miz ends up on the card this year. Stay tuned for updates.
