There are quite a few veterans on the WWE main roster right now including Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior has been a mainstay on WWE programming for decades now, but it looks like his contract with the company will be expiring at some point next year.
Fightful Select is reporting that the current WWE contract Sheamus is signed to will expire in 2024. This is said to be the case with a number of stars including Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre.
The belief is that Sheamus’ deal is up in the first quarter or first half of 2024, but that hasn’t been confirmed. Sheamus will be 46 next year when he would potentially become a free agent.
Sheamus first signed with WWE in 2006 and he debuted with the ECW brand in 2009. He went on to win the WWE Championship for the first time in his career a few months later when he defeated John Cena at TLC. In the years that followed he became a four time WWE World Champion, three time United States Champion, five time WWE Tag Team Champion, a King of the Ring, Royal Rumble winner, and a Money in the Bank winner.
Stay tuned for more updates on Sheamus as they become available.
