It’s an exciting time to be a WWE fan as some big moves have been made in recent weeks thanks to the transfer window. This week on Friday Night SmackDown it was confirmed that Damian Priest has officially joined the SmackDown roster, and he went on to pick up a big win over Carmelo Hayes in his first match with the blue brand.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion talked a little bit about the big move from Raw to SmackDown during a post-show interview and he explained why he thinks it’s the right time for him to switch brands.
“It’s been a big one, man. Four years in WWE, all Monday Night Raw. I feel like this is the right time to move. I accomplished everything that I wanted to accomplish on Monday Night Raw. World Champion, United States Champion, multiple-time tag team champion. Now, it’s time for something new, a new challenge, new rivals. I’m here on Smackdown, ready to take them all on.”
It was also confirmed during SmackDown that The Miz has joined the blue brand as well. Miz later tried to form an alliance with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, but Nick Aldis announced that the former WWE Tag Team Champions would be moving to Raw.
