The last few months have been interesting for the world of professional wrestling as fans have seen talents from AEW crossover with Impact and NJPW. Now it looks like a former Impact Wrestling World Champion could be AEW bound.
SEScoops reports that Tessa Blanchard and her husband Daga have been in talks with AEW about signing with the company. The negotiations are reportedly ongoing, and one source noted that it’s “all but a formality” until they are officially signed with the company.
Blanchard became the first woman in history to win the Impact World Championship when she defeated Sami Callihan at the Impact Wrestling Hard to Kill pay-per-view in January of 2020.
Tessa took a hiatus from Impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was announced in June of 2020 that she had parted ways with the company.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
