To say that CM Punk is controversial would be a bit of an understatement at this point as everyone seems to have an opinion on the former AEW World Champion. Talk about CM Punk’s future has picked up in recent weeks as it’s been reported that he’s set to make his return to All Elite Wrestling.
A few weeks ago Punk posted an Instagram story sharing some info about his feud with Jon Moxley last year, and he claimed that he had never seen any of the Rocky movies after Moxley suggested that they use Rocky III as a template for their storyline. The Instagram story was quickly deleted, but it didn’t take long at all for screenshots to make the rounds on social media.
Former AEW star Joey Janela recently joked that he would only wrestle CM Punk if Punk agreed to watch every Rocky movie in a row and live stream his viewing experience.
Ok guys here it is I’ll work with CM Punk, only on one condition he watches every Rocky movie in a row and live streams it like Shia LaBeouf watching his own films…

Janela also compared CM Punk to current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Sanada when he tagged Punk in a tweet saying, “This is what a real champion looks and acts like”

It seems unlikely that we’ll be seeing a Joey Janela vs. CM Punk match anytime soon, but it seems that AEW already has a return feud lined up for CM Punk and you can get more on that here.
