The weekend gave wrestling fans plenty to talk about as Saturday Night’s Main Event aired live from Texas. The show featured a huge main event which saw Gunther defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso.
When it was all said and done Gunther was the one who picked up the win to walk out with the gold. Near the end of the match Jey Uso connected with a spear that quickly became a hot topic on social media as the move was heavily criticized by some fans.
Former AEW star Fuego Del Sol picked up on the criticism and he took to social media to react to the comments when he posted the following:
“Imagine having the most over catchphrase in wrestling right now and selling t shirts faster than ever, having great matches for over a decade, having an arena go crazy for you almost winning a world title…
And the internet clipping a spear to make it seem like you are bad.”

One fan went on to note that the spear was “horrendous” and Fuego Del Sol agreed while defending Jey when he posted a response which said, “I agree the spear was bad. Jey Uso is not.”
Following his loss to Gunther, Jey Uso made it clear that he’s now focused on winning the Royal Rumble in order to get back into the title picture.
