finn balor

Finn Balor is incredible. When he debuted on NXT, even those who didn’t know him as a Bullet Club member named Devitt took notice of his fantastic talent. When he was called up to the main roster it was an incredible experience for those who have followed him throughout his career.

The build-up to the Summerslam match against Seth Rollins was a dream come true. Balor capitalized on the opportunity that he had that night to face Seth Rollins for the brand new Universal Title and he took it. Their staredown when Finn made his debut with the Demon gimmick on the main roster was spectacular. Even though, there are some who still maintain the belief creative jumped the gun on Balor’s demon by giving it away on Raw.

Just in case your forgot, this is the epic staredown I’m talking about.

It was special, very special. Balor went on the win the Universal Title in a spectacular match, even though he tore his shoulder while taking a powerbomb on the outside barrier with nine minutes left to go. Finn carried on and won. During Balor’s celebration after the match, he didn’t hold up his newly-won title. Some thought he didn’t hoist the Universal Title in the air in triumph because the fans hated the crap out of the new red belt design. But in reality, he didn’t lift the belt because he wasn’t able to.

He was forced to relinquish his title the night after Summerslam and at the time, it was one of the saddest segments we’d seen since Daniel Bryan’s retirement. Balor has been rehabbing his shoulder like a madman and has shown many signs that he’ll be back soon. His appearance at the NXT television taping in Orlando more that solidified the fact he was ready when he executed two of his key moves: The sling blade and the his brutal corner dropkick. Those are two of the three only moves he really needs!

Recent reports claim he might return to our television sets before he’s actually medically cleared for in-ring action later on in early March. He’s booked at the March 26th house show in White Plains where he will share the ring with Triple H in a 6-man tag match. But with all of this anticipation, he very well might be showing up on Raw sooner than that.

Finn added, even more, intrigue with the tweet below. He might just be trying to sell his jacket (it’s pretty cool by the way), but it is certainly enough to pique our interest.
