A few weeks ago Finn Balor made his return to NXT, and he’s quickly changing the landscape for the brand. Balor also teased a possible stable in NXT, and it looks like he has his eyes on one specific tag team.
The former NXT Champion was asked during an interview with Sports Illustrated if there’s anyone he wants to add to Balor Club, and he named AOP.
“There are a couple people I’ve been thinking about. I don’t know if it’s possible, but I’m very, very, very interested in AOP. Those two guys are two of the meanest guys in this business. If I have a chance to create a Balor Club in any brand, I’d want those guys backing me up.”
Last week Finn Balor turned heel, which left fans to wonder if he would be joining The Undisputed Era. According to Finn we’ll find out on this week’s show.
Balor also commented on NXT going head to head with AEW, and he said that the only person he’s competing with is himself.
“I don’t know if we’re competing with anyone. The only person I’m competing with is myself from yesterday. I’m trying to be better than who I was yesterday. On this Wednesday, I’m going to be better than I was last Wednesday. That’s the way I approach life and that’s how I evolve. I don’t worry about what other people are doing. I’m focused on the brand I’m currently working for.”
