So far in 2021 WWE has released a total of 55 talents, and there’s no telling when the next wave of releases could be coming. The company has been letting talents go due to budget cuts, and now those talents how to figure out what’s next for their careers.
Former Universal Champion Finn Balor recently told The Independent that a lot of his friends ended up getting cut this year, but that some of them ready to make the most of their situation.
“Obviously, you never want to see these things happen but this business is very controlled,” he said. “A lot of my friends were on those lists. Some of them are seeing it as an opportunity.”
Balor also encouraged released talents to start fresh and embrace their newfound creative freedom.
“You can start fresh with a new character, without anyone hands-on or manipulating your ideas,” he said. “So you’ve got to accept the situation, move forward, embrace it, grow and create.”
