On Sunday night, Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar to become the new Universal Champion, and Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan to become the new WWE Champion.
Rollins kicked off Raw this week, but it wasn’t long before Kofi Kingston challenged him to a match, and the two Superstars faced off in a winner take all match in the main event on Raw this week.
The Bar interrupted, and the match eventually became a tag team match which saw Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins team up to take on Sheamus & Cesaro, and the fans at the Barclays Center weren’t happy about the change.

This certainly isn’t the first time AEW has been referenced on WWE programming during WrestleMania week, as Triple H took a few shots at the up and coming wrestling promotion during DX’s Hall of Fame induction speech.
AEW responded to all the noise by posting a gif of a camera zooming in on Cody Rhodes cupping his ear.

WWE made it clear this week that they are well aware of AEW, and with many fans hoping to see another wrestling war it will be interesting to see where things go from here.
