During this week’s episode of NXT, Lexis King made his way to the ring with the Heritage Cup. King cut a promo and declared that he will be making changes to the championship moving forward.
Lexis told the fans that the Heritage Cup Championship has been mistreated for far too long. He continued as he said, “gone are the days of the meaningless rounds, gone are the days of the ill advised corner men, and the egregious time limits.” King then announced that moving forward Heritage Cup matches will be one fall, winner take all.
Immediately after King made the announcement Fandango’s music hit and he returned to NXT. Fandango said he used to get real weird in here, and that the music means a lot to him. He thanked the fans as they chanted “welcome back.” King said he remembers Fandango as the guy who used to play dress up with Tyler Breeze. Fandango fired back as he told King that he looks like he spray paints his face.
The former Fandango said his name is JDC. He’s here representing The System from Total Nonstop Action, and they’re always looking for gold to add to their collection. JDC announced that next week he will be challenging Lexis King for the NXT Heritage Cup. Lexis King then confirmed that the match will take place during next week’s episode of NXT.
