Enzo Amore has found himself in a unique situation. He’s still a popular Superstar but that seems to be changing every week. It’s almost as though WWE is placing Enzo outside of his comfort zone on purpose.
The Miz welcomed Enzo to Miz TV after making the announcement about Maryse’s pregnancy. But Enzo made his entrance in a very abrasive manner when he interrupted The Miz’s speech about being a father.
During the promo, The Miz lambasted Enzo Amore and really blurred the line between entertainment and reality. He spoke about Amore getting kicked off a WWE bus even though he didn’t explicitly say why. Miz did say Enzo was moved over to 205 Live because nobody else could stand him on the main roster.
With Enzo Amore slowly becoming a top player on 205 Live, many wonder if his insertion would eventually become the final nail in the coffin for the fledgling division.
“The nail in the coffin of the division was the division,” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “But this promo [between Enzo and Miz] ruined all of that… well, I should say ruined it because probably a lot of people just won’t pay any attention to the promo so it doesn’t really matter that much. I mean this promo could have ruined it, it didn’t help it. I mean it probably didn’t completely ruin it.”
“But Enzo was like saving the division and now you just told everyone that the only reason he’s there is not because like it’s a vibrant division and he’s going on to bigger and better things and going for a championship. It’s because nobody wanted him around so he got relegated to this brand and again it just buried everybody.”
