Cody Rhodes picked up some major momentum on the road to WrestleMania 39 and there was a lot of anticipation heading into the main event where he challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Unfortunately for Cody it was Roman Reigns who picked up the victory, and everyone seems to have an opinion when it comes to The American Nightmare taking a big loss on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Cody’s brother Dustin Rhodes admitted on Busted Open Radio that he found it a little frustrating that Cody didn’t win, but he also said that he likes the story of Cody having to earn the title.

“They’re making him pay for it now. They’re making him earn it, and I like that. I do. I like that, because once you put the title on him, where are you going?”

Dustin Rhodes went on to make it clear that he thinks Cody will win the big one eventually when he added, “I’m extremely proud of him. I wish him the best, and he’s going to be world champion — I know it. I don’t know when, but he’s going to be world champion.”

The night after WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes was attacked by Brock Lesnar on Monday Night Raw and it’s expected that they will be facing off at Backlash. There’s currently no word on when Cody could end up getting another title shot. Stay tuned for updates.
