Fans don’t see all that much of them on TV, but Tyler Breeze and Fandango are still a tag team, and they are still doing the Fashion Police gimmick. Despite the fact that Breeze and Fandango don’t get much TV time, fans do seem to enjoy the gimmick.
Tyler Breeze also seems to be a big fan of the gimmick, as he recently spoke to the Des Moines Register to promote this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, and he noted that he doesn’t see the team switching things up anytime soon.
“The best part about it is, people like it,” Breeze said. “People care about it and it’s building. People are showing up to our events hoping to see us, which is exactly what you want when you work for WWE. I don’t really see us stopping anytime soon because there’s still some Smackdown Live tag titles that we have our eyes on.”
When Tyler Breeze first arrived on the main roster, he was playing up his male model gimmick that he had developed in NXT. Breeze also talked about why his original Mike Dalton character didn’t work when he arrived in NXT, and why he decided to become a male model instead.
“The thing with Mike Dalton was there wasn’t much personality to it, it was just a bunch of wrestling moves,” Breeze explained. “So I thought I’d try the exact opposite, and go out there as this male model who basically has no clue about wrestling, doesn’t even know any wrestling moves and doesn’t know anything. It’s something different and something for people to latch on to.”
