Money in the Bank is one of WWE’s biggest shows of the year and the card for this year’s event has been coming together over the last few weeks. Ahead of Money in the Bank the Worlds Collide premium live event emanated from the Kia Forum, and Dominik Mysterio attended the show with Liv Morgan.
In the opening match at Worlds Collide, Octagón Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana picked up a win over Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro and Lince Dorado. After the match Dominik called out Octagon for being a big Rey Mysterio fan and things got physical. After Dominik and Octagon Jr. brawled for a bit, Dominik challenged him to a match at Money in the Bank and announced that he would be putting the Intercontinental Championship on the line.
After Naomi won the Money in the Bank contract in the opening match the action continued with Octagon Jr. vs. Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. Liv Morgan accompanied Dominik to the ring and watched the match from ringside.
Near the end of the match Octagon Jr. went to the top rope, but Liv got on the apron and distracted him. While Octagon was distracted Dominik attacked him from behind to knock him off the top turnbuckle. Dominik then connected with 619 followed by a Frog Splash to win the match.
