In the world of professional wrestling a good nickname can go a long way. The Rock has his fair share of memorable nicknames and on 3/13 he started referring to himself as The Final Boss on social media.

Serena Deeb referred to herself as The Final Boss during a promo on the 3/2 episode of AEW Collision, and she seemingly implied during a virtual signing for Highspots Sign It Live that the name was stolen by a well known wrestler.
“Funny thing is I said that (‘The Final Boss’) on Collision and then the following week — I don’t even know if I can say this. Well I can say whatever. He stole it? (Deeb laughed & repeated the co-host saying the nickname was stolen)… Someone took it and you guys would know who he is.”
The Rock continued to refer to himself as The Final Boss during the 3/15 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, and Cody Rhodes referenced the name during his promo on the 3/18 episode of Raw when he said gave Brian Gewirtz credit for coming up with the nickname. However, Gewirtz later clarified that he didn’t come up with the name when he posted the following on Twitter:
“Final Boss” isn’t anything I came up with. @TheRock calls himself that because he is that. If it makes you feel better @CodyRhodes, I was the first to tell him about your spectacularly stupid goofy a** dog.”
The Rock will not be appearing on SmackDown this week, but as of right now he is currently being advertised for the 4/1 episode of Monday Night Raw.
