Back in May, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE Monday Night Raw and it was later announced that they had been suspended indefinitely.
Since then there have been reports claiming that Banks has been trying to get her release, but that has yet to be confirmed. It’s also been reported that prior to the walkout Naomi was negotiating a new deal with WWE as it’s believed that her current contract is set to expire soon.
With Vince McMahon now retired fans are wondering if there’s a chance that Banks and Naomi could be returning, and Dave Meltzer noted on the Sports Illustrated Media podcast that the word is WWE will try to reconcile with the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
“It’s kind of up in the air. I mean, they’re gone. The last I heard was that there would be attempts to be made to reconcile, especially with Vince gone. So, it’s up in the air. I don’t think there’s anything definite just yet.”
It’s been reported that both Banks and Naomi have been removed from WWE’s internal roster. Sasha is currently set to make an appearance at C2E2 in Chicago next month and she’s being advertised under her real name Mercedes Varnado. Stay tuned for mor updats as they become available.
