Last Friday was an action packed day for WWE as Vince McMahon announced his retirement and it was later reported that Brock Lesnar had walked out of SmackDown. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Brock Lesnar walked out the moment word started going around about Vince McMahon’s retirement tweet.

Details regarding exactly what transpired are being kept confidential, but Lesnar returned around 8:30 PM, more than seven hours after walking out. Brock participated in the show closing segment when he attacked Theory. Even though Brock was advertised for the show Michael Cole and Pat McAfee acknowledged the walkout by acting like they were shocked to see him.

The belief was that management kept in touch with Brock after he walked out and made some sort of deal for him to return. It’s unknown if Brock Lesnar was just mad about Vince McMahon being gone, or if this was some sort of brilliant business move on his part.

It’s being said that Brock did whatever he wanted under Vince McMahon because he and Roman Reigns fit Vince’s parameters of what he believed a top star should be, and there was nobody else like The Beast Incarnate.

One person noted that the worst thing that could happen publicly would be the biggest star in the company walking out the day Vince McMahon retired. It was imperative that Lesnar appear on the show otherwise it would give the feeling that the company is in chaos.
