For years now Daniel Bryan has been one of WWE’s most consistently featured talents, but the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion hasn’t been on TV in recent weeks.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that AJ Styles recently confirmed he tested positive for COVID-19, and AJ Styles, Renee Young and Daniel Bryan were all in a segment together the week before they were all pulled from TV.
Renee Young tested positive, but has since left the company, Styles was off TV for weeks, and Daniel Bryan has not yet returned. However, Bryan has taped things for SmackDown, and he’s now part of the creative team.
Bryan not returning to Orlando also coincided with his wife Brie Bella being pregnant, so it’s likely that he’s off TV as a precautionary measure. It was also noted that Brie Bella has expressed concern with Bryan continuing to work due to his weakened immune system.
