Yesterday was a shocking day for the wrestling world as WWE announced that Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Santana Garrett and Ruby Riott had all been released from their contracts.
Dave Meltzer noted on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that all WWE talents were sent text messages informing them that the aforementioned talents were being released.
The texts were reportedly sent by Head of WWE Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. It was also noted that this may have been the first time that a text was sent to all talents informing them of other stars being released.
WWE has released a number of talents as well as office employees since April due to budget cuts. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
