The coronavirus pandemic has had a big impact on the wrestling world and the sports world in general.
Sports leagues around the world have been forced to cancel events and it was reported on Saturday that President Donald Trump was set to speak to key figures in major sports leagues such as the NFL, NHL, MLB, NASCAR, WWE and more.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that during the call Donald Trump reportedly told everyone that his timetable to have people back in arenas watching sporting events is August.
Trump also reportedly mentioned the idea of giving fans incentives, such as tax breaks, to buy tickets to go see sporting events. The thought is that people will be scared to go to events once the pandemic is over.
Of course at this point it’s not clear if things will go back to normal by August, as only time will tell.
