CM Punk is no longer an active competitor, but he did return to the world of professional wrestling a few months ago when he joined WWE Backstage as an analyst.
Months after Punk parted ways with WWE he opened up about his departure on an episode of Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast.
During the podcast Punk made some comments about how he was told to make Roman Reigns look strong when he was working with The Shield, and apparently some fans have misinterpreted his comments.
One fan asked Punk on Twitter who his favorite Shield member was out of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, and Punk responded by naming Roman Reigns as his favorite.
Another fan then mentioned that some people apparently think Punk hates Roman, to which Punk replied, “Is this a thing? Why would I hate him?”

Roman Reigns was originally set to challenge Goldberg for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36 this year, but he pulled out of the show due to health concerns.
Braun Strowman replaced Reigns and he won the belt for the first time in his career when he defeated Goldberg.
