NXT has gone through some major changes this year as the show was moved from Wednesday nights to Tuesday nights, and last month NXT was rebranded. WWE introduced a different version of NXT in the form of NXT 2.0 and it seems that the company is looking to take the brand in a bit of a different direction.
This week’s episode of NXT averaged 632,000 viewers, and viewership was down from the 655,000 viewers who tuned into last week’s episode. The show also received a 0.13 in the 18-49 key demographic, which was the lowest rating in the demo since NXT was rebranded.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast recently took to Twitter to report that a source at USA Network claimed there was disappointment over NXT’s numbers, but the hope is that things will improve going f
“The is all to bring a new younger viewer who is connected with pop culture & trends. Needless to say, the demo numbers are disappointing but we are hopeful this is just a bump in the road”
Spoke to a source this morning regarding NXT's direction & what the expectations are.
