Last night Samoa Joe made his debut at the NXT arena and got everyone talking. Many people thought it wouldn’t happen due to the fact that Joe is booked for some independent shows in the future and it’s being reported that he will still be working those shows.
Triple H was the man behind bringing Joe in and it’s also being reported that Triple H praised the NXT roster for keeping Joe’s debut a secret.
As of right now Joe’s deal is not a WWE exclusive deal and he will continue to work independent shows that he’s booked for according to PWInsider. It would seem that WWE has big plans for Joe though as they’re already selling Samoa Joe t-shirts. This is a new type of deal for WWE and it seems that Joe has received a contract that meets his terms, allowing him to fulfill his prior obligations while still working in NXT.
