The last few months have been very eventful for Drew McIntyre to say the least. The Scottish Warrior earned the right to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, and he ended up defeating Seth Rollins to win the title on the Grandest Stage of Them All. However, McIntyre’s title reign was cut short as Damian Priest cashed in Money in the Bank and won the belt immediately after the match.
Drew McIntyre appeared on Monday Night Raw this week and Damian Priest confronted him in the ring. Priest offered Drew McIntyre a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but it was not specified when the match will happen.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the expectation is Drew McIntyre will be challenging Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle on June 15. It was also noted that Damian Priest has seemingly been positioned as the babyface in this feud so far, but McIntyre will be a strong babyface at Clash at the Castle due to the fact that show is set to take place from Scotland.
There’s speculation that Drew McIntyre could win the belt since he didn’t win at the last Clash at the Castle, or that CM Punk could once again cost Drew the title.
Stay tuned for updates.
