More Details On Naomi’s Knee Injury, Plans For The SmackDown Women’s Title

Naomi saddened all fans that felt her glow on Tuesday as she vacated her Smackdown Women’s Championship. Fans waited a long time to see her win the title but unfortunately she had to give up the belt due because of an injury.

It was noted in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the injury is described to be not the exact same injury that Seth Rollins suffered, but it is close. It still hasn’t been made clear whether or not she will miss WrestleMania, but obviously officials were concerned enough to strip her of the title and put it on Alexa Bliss.

This week on SmackDown Alexa Bliss beat Becky Lynch with a move that most consider an illegal maneuver: a karate chop to the throat. In the older rules of professional wrestling back in the days when throwing someone over the top rope resulted in a disqualification, a karate chop to the throat was also a banned move.

It was also noted that officials will probably put Becky Lynch the Smackdown Women’s Title picture. There is also a possibility that they could put Tamina in the title hunt and shoot her to the top of the Smackdown women’s ranks because she has recently returned at house shows.
