Last week on AEW Dynamite MJF laid out the stipulations for Cody to set up a potential match between the two of them, and this week on Dynamite Arn Anderson announced that he and Cody would be taking another week to answer MJF.
MJF then made his way to the ring and counted down from 10. When the countdown reached 1 DDP made his way to the ring.
DDP cut a promo, then MJF called out The Butcher, The Bunny and The Blade. DDP managed to defend himself with a few Diamond Cutters against the Butcher and the Blade, but eventually MJF got the upper hand when he hit DDP with a low blow.
QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes made the save, and it was announced that next week DDP will return to the ring to team with Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall to face MJF, The Butcher and The Blade.
