Earlier this year FTR requested to be pulled from TV while they made a decision regarding their next big move in professional wrestling. Dax Harwood had said that FTR’s contracts were set to expire in April which left fans with a lot of questions.
Recently FTR decided to put their AEW career on the line in order to get a shot at The Gunns and their AEW World Tag Team Titles, and there was a lot of speculation heading into the big title match earlier this week.
Ultimately FTR defeated The Gunns to win the belts, so it looks like they’re staying with AEW. There was some speculation that FTR were considering a WWE return, and a fan on Twitter recently claimed that the only reason they were given the tag team belts is because they threatened to leave AEW and go back to WWE.
The comment caught the attention of Dax Harwood himself who posted a response indicating that the WWE schedule keeps him away from his family too much. He also said that AEW will, “allow us to give back to wrestling.”
