After FTR parted ways with WWE it didn’t take long for them to show up in All Elite Wrestling and they made their debut with the company in May of 2020. AEW had made it a point to push tag team wrestling, but it doesn’t sound like everyone was happy when FTR arrived.

During a recent episode of his FTR with Dax Harwood podcast Dax noted that there weren’t many people who were happy to see FTR in AEW and he also specifically named Jungle Boy as someone who wasn’t happy about the team joining the company.

“When me and Cash came into AEW, there weren’t very many people that were happy to see us there. For example, he and I’ve talked about it, but Jack Perry was not happy to see us because he thought that me and Cash were going to come in and change up his whole style and, and try to make him someone he’s not.

So, it’s not just CM Punk, it’s just whenever you have harmony and a locker room and things are going well, change is kind of hard for people. So yeah, there were a lot of people that were worried about it.”

Dax Harwood said in a previous interview that he believes FTR’s contracts with AEW expire in April, so it will be interesting to see what happens from there. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
