The stars of Global Force Wrestling will be returning to the Impact Zone this for six nights of tapings. Originally GFW planned to hold more TV tapings in September, but the tapings were never officially announced, and Universal Studios normally uses all their warehouse space in September to store items for their Halloween Horror Nights event, so that may be the reason why extra days were added to the August tapings.
During this month’s tapings GFW will record enough material to hold them over through November. PWInsider is reporting that GFW plans to hold their annual Bound For Glory pay-per-view at Universal Studios on November 5.
Speaking of GFW pay-per-views, the company is reportedly considering making Lockdown a pay-per-view event once again. The event was moved from a pay-per-view to a themed episode of Impact in 2015 under Dixie Carter’s management.
Current Global Force Wrestling Champion Alberto El Patron is currently suspended, but he was referenced by a GFW star over the weekend.
During the August 5 live event, Eli Drake cut a promo and asked why any company would want Alberto El Patron as their champion.
Alberto recently said that his suspension will be over soon, but as of this writing no official announcement has been made.
