A few weeks ago Daniel Bryan dropped the WWE Championship to Kofi Kingston and then he took a leave of absence from WWE.
This week on Raw, Daniel Bryan returned and he made it clear that he wants a shot at the WWE Title.
Vince McMahon announced the new wild card rule which allows 3 Superstars from SmackDown Live to appear on Raw, and vice versa, and Kofi Kingston also appeared on Raw along with Roman Reigns.
McMahon booked two WrestleMania rematches when he announced that Kofi Kingston will defend the WWE Title against Daniel Bryan tonight, and Drew McIntyre will face Roman Reigns.
