For weeks it was rumored that Jeff Hardy was injured, and Jeff confirmed the rumors last Tuesday on SmackDown Live.

Unfortunately The Hardys were forced to vacate the SmackDown Tag Team Titles due to Jeff’s injury, and it was later announced that Shane McMahon would be crowning new champions on this week’s episode.

Shane McMahon made his way down to the ring and cut a promo this week on SmackDown, and then he introduced Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan and just as he was about to hand them the belts, The Usos interrupted.

The Usos told Shane they worked too hard to put the tag team division on the map for him to hand the belts away. They said all the other teams who held the belts earned them. The Usos urged Shane to put the belts on the line, and he booked a SmackDown Tag Team Title match.

Jimmy Uso went for the splash from the top, but Daniel Bryan got the knees up and put him in the LeBell Lock. Jimmy got out and hit Bryan with a superkick, then Jey and Rowan tagged in.

The Usos each hit a superkick on Rowan, then a double superkick, and Jey hit a suicide dive on Bryan to the outside while Jimmy hit a splash on Rowan, but Rowan kicked out.

Both teams brawled on the outside for a while then Rowan got one of The Usos alone in the ring and hit him with the Iron Claw then pinned him for the win.

Shane McMahon looked thrilled after the match.
