You never know when one of your favorite WWE Superstars is going to suffer an unfortunate injury, and now it seems that at least one current champion is out of action indefinitely.
TMZ is reporting that Sonya Deville is now out of action because she tore her ACL. The injury reportedly happened when Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green faced off against Bianca Belair & Charlotte Flair on the July 28 episode of SmackDown in New Orleans. Sonya Deville will undergo surgery on Tuesday.
A few weeks ago Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green managed to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and it seemed that the company had high hopes for their run with the belts. It’s now being reported that the future of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship will be addressed tonight on Monday Night Raw.
Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship when they defeated Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez during the July 17 episode of Raw. It was the first time that either of them had won championship gold in WWE, but now it seems that their reign is over.
