There’s certainly no shortage of place for wrestlers to work nowadays, and Tyrus has firmly established himself at the top star in the NWA. Currently Tyrus is the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, and he’s set to defend his title against EC3 at the NWA 75th Anniversary Show next month.
During a recent live stream on the NWA Instagram page Tyrus talked about the upcoming title match, and he also announced that he will retire if EC3 defeats him and wins the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
“I’ll make you an offer you cannot refuse. I’m so passionate, I want this Bull Rope match, I want to be the bull in the woods, if you will, prove it at the Chase, at the 75, that I’m willing to put my career on the line as well.
“So, if EC3 wins the 12 pounds of gold against me in a Bull Rope match, not only will he be champion, I will retire.”
The NWA 75th Anniversary Show will take place from St. Louis, Missouri on August 26 & 27. One way or another it will be interesting to see if this is the end of the road for Tyrus as far as his wrestling career is concerned. Stay tuned for updates.
