At Elimination Chamber, Naomi became the SmackDown Women’s Champion for the first time in her career after defeating Alexa Bliss. It was a great moment for her, and the WWE Universe got behind her because they knew she deserved the opportunity to be a champion.

Unfortunately, she was forced to relinquish the SmackDown Women’s Title due to injury this week on SmackDown Live. She made the point to reference the WrestleMania sign and claim that she may not be able to perform on the grandest stage of them all in her hometown of Orlando as well.
Naomi’s luck ran out quickly, but it could be the best thing for her in the long term. It’s being reported by CageSideSeats that despite the fact that her injury was serious enough for WWE to strip her of the Women’s Title, Naomi will be competing at WrestleMania 33 after all.
She has gained a tremendous amount of respect and sympathy from the WWE Universe as a result of her title run being cut short. Naomi returning to the ring in her hometown of Orlando at WrestleMania could be the career-making moment she needs to become a top face in WWE.
