The world title scene in WWE has been dominated by Roman Reigns for some time now and he recently crossed 1,000 days as champion. Last week Roman Reigns celebrated his historic reign and Triple H presented him with a new Undisputed WWE Universal Championship belt. It looks like WWE could be making some changes to other belts as well as a unification match is reportedly being discussed.
Fight Fans is reporting that WWE is discussing a potential Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey vs Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn match to unify the WWE and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. The match has been discussed, but there’s currently no word on whether or not WWE is going to move forward with the idea.
Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn are the current NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions and they were called up to the main roster in the recent WWE Draft. If WWE does indeed decide to unify the titles it’s not clear exactly what this would mean for the women’s tag team division in NXT.
