Cody Rhodes has come a long way since he parted ways with WWE. He’s currently an Executive Vice President for All Elite Wrestling, and he’s also one of the top stars in the company.

Since AEW’s inception there have been a few shots fired in the wrestling war. Cody smashed a replica of Triple H’s throne earlier this year at Double or Nothing, and Triple H also referred to AEW as a “pissant company” during DX’s Hall of Fame speech.

However, Cody Rhodes recently revealed on Busted Open Radio that if he were to come face to face with Triple H he would shake his hand.

“I can go ahead and say I think a lot of things got screwed up with me in WWE, but if I was to be in a room with Triple H in this moment, I would shake his hand. I’d probably even give him a hug out of everything that’s happened. I learned a lot from him, and he’s on the absolute opposite side of the fence in the same role I’m in with AEW and has much more experience with it.”

Back in August, Cody Rhodes did an interview with Chad Dukes, and he explained why he decided to smash the throne at Double or Nothing.

“Plain and simple, I was a huge fan of Triple H. I learned a great deal from Triple H, a great deal. I probably wrestled him in the Capital One Arena. But when push came to shove and I thought I was better than 99 percent of the people he was putting ahead of me, he didn’t see that. So in that moment, there is no greater revenge in the world than success. So I knew I was walking out to a sold-out crowd, wrestling a 50-year-old man in a match that people, at one point, deemed unworthy and the place was literally shaking. So I felt no need. Like, this is the perfect time to do it, to fire my own shot, and it was my own shot, not an AEW shot.”
