Just last week Cody Rhodes announced that he had requested to be released from WWE and on Sunday WWE confirmed that Cody had been released. Although Cody has been released he’s still not eligible to wrestle for other companies as WWE is reportedly holding him to his contract.
After Cody Rhodes parted ways with WWE he released a statement saying that he wants to continue wrestling. Cody has now changed his Stardust Twitter account back to Cody Rhodes and he also posted a picture of a list revealing the wrestlers that he wants to face after 8/19 which appears to be the date when he will be eligible to wrestle again. The list includes names such as Kurt Angle, Chris Hero, “The Miracle” Mike Bennett, Moose, Adam Cole and many more. You can check it out below.

Although it may suck that Cody Rhodes is no longer with WWE, it seems clear that he isn’t going to be hanging up the boots anytime soon. One thing’s for sure, Cody has compiled a very impressive list and it gives fans some hints as to where we could see him work next. Unfortunately we’re going to have to wait a few months to see how this all plays out, but hopefully Cody will be able to check off a few boxes on that list shortly after 8/19.
