Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles in an I Quit match at Clash at the Castle on Saturday, and both men pulled out all the stops. Business picked up quickly as Rhodes and Styles battled throughout the arena. They made their way to the backstage area then battled their way back to the ring.

At one point AJ Styles grabbed a bag from underneath the ring then dumped it out to reveal that there were handcuffs inside. The Phenomenal One handcuffed Cody’s hands behind his back then attacked him with a kendo stick, but Cody refused to say “I quit.”

As Cody was in the ring AJ got in the face of Mama Rhodes who was sitting at ringside. She slapped AJ repeatedly. Styles grabbed a chair then got back in the ring. AJ wrapped a chain around his arm then went for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Cody managed to get his handcuffed hands in front of his body as he threw a chair at AJ Styles. The American Nightmare then grabbed a key and removed the handcuffs.

Cody managed to hit the Cody Cutter and he got fired up as he hit AJ with the Cross Rhodes. He picked AJ up and hit the Cross Rhodes again as the fans chanted “one more time.” Cody hit AJ Styles with the Cross Rhodes on a steel chair then waved off the referee as he grabbed the chair then threw it down. The American Nightmare then handcuffed AJ Styles to the ropes and attacked him with the steel chair. The ref asked AJ if he was ready to quit, but AJ refused.

Rhodes threw the steel steps into the ring then picked them up and threatened to hit Styles with them while he was still handcuffed. AJ Styles cowered in the corner then shouted “I quit” to end the match. The fans sang Cody’s song as he held the ring steps and looked at his mom. Cody hit AJ with the steps one time then set them up in the ring and celebrated with his belt at the top of the steps.

Cody then made his way up the ramp and Solo Sikoa appeared behind him as he was celebrating. Solo got in his face then Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa attacked Cody from behind. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton made the save as they fought off The Bloodline with Cody Rhodes. It’s not clear what’s next for Cody and The Bloodline, but fans are already speculating that Solo Sikoa could be the next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
