Cody Rhodes has been on the rise over the last few years as The American Nightmare has solidified his spot as one of the top stars in WWE. Now it seems that Rhodes has landed a big role in the upcoming Street Fighter movie.
Recently it had been reported that Cody Rhodes was in talks to play Guile in the Street Fighter movie, and Deadline is reporting that Rhodes has landed the role. The Street Fighter movie has been a hot topic among wrestling fans over the last few weeks as Roman Reigns signed to play Akuma in the film.
Other notable names who have been confirmed for the movie include Jason Momoa as Blanka, 50 Cent as Balrog, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, and David Dastmalchian as M. Bison.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the movie will be directed by Kitao Sakurai, and is expected to be released in 2026. The film is being co-developed and co-produced alongside Capcom.
Cody Rhodes will also be featured in another noteworthy film this summer as he’s set to appear in The Naked Gun which will be released on August 1st.
