CM Punk officially returned to professional wrestling last year when he made his AEW debut during the second episode of Rampage. Since then Punk has become a two time AEW World Champion, and he’s also been at the center of recent controversies stemming from his backstage altercation with The Elite.

During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, AEW President Tony Khan talked about what goes into producing an AEW show, and he named CM Punk among the people in the company that have office jobs.

“I’ll come in with an outline and I’ll sit down with Tony Schiavone, QT [Marshall], a couple of people backstage, Sonjay [Dutt] has become really valuable. Then there’s a lot of people throughout the years that you’d go to whatever their stuff is. I think there’s specific people even if they’re not working in an office job per se like a Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley. And of course, even people who are working in office jobs like Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and CM Punk.”

CM Punk, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are all currently suspended and there’s no word on when they might be brought back as the investigation into the backstage altercation is ongoing.
