Former WWE and World champion CM Punk has been pulled from all advertising of WWE live events going forward after a meeting with WWE management at the Raw taping in Cleveland, Ohio. It is believed that when Vince McMahon had the writers re-write Raw it was because Punk had informed the company he was going home and wouldn’t be back. While We can’t say for certain the reasoning behind why Punk left, it is being speculated backstage that Punk was fed up with part-timers stealing the Wrestlemania checks from the work horses who perform all year. Also, to be noted that Punk was slated to face Triple H at Wrestlemania but plans have seemed to shifted towards a Daniel Bryan vs. Triple  H match at Mania.

Punk wrote on Twitter soon after the Rumble :

“Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it’s pretty cool.”

Hopefully that’s not a cryptic goodbye message and he’s back soon…

  1. He can’t leave. He’s one of the only reasons I’m still watching. I do understand where he’s coming from. He did kind of get screwed at the Royal Rumble.

    • so true. the real working talent is overlooked in so many ways. the “product” as i like to call the wwe is failing. the late 90’s WCW could beat this crap in a heartbeat.
