It’s been years since fans have seen CM Punk wrestle a match inside a WWE ring, but talk of a possible return is always making the rounds.
Talk of Punk possibly returning to the ring has only picked up in recent months ever since he joined WWE Backstage as an analyst, but the former WWE Champion has shown no interest in getting back in the ring.
Recently WWE announced that WrestleMania 36 will take place from the WWE Performance Center with no fans in attendance and Punk reacted to the news when he posted the following on Twitter: “Well that’s one way to make sure Roman finally gets not booed and nobody chants for meeeeeeee.”
A fan then replied by saying they feel for Edge who is set to wrestle his first singles match in 9 years at the event. Punk responded with, “Oooooo. Yeah that for sure sucks.”
Another fan asked if this is CM Punk’s way of begging for a return, and Punk claimed that he’s been getting texts about a match when he posted, “I’m not the one texting begging for a match with me at mania. 👀.”

Punk didn’t reveal who is asking him for the match, so there’s no way of knowing at this point, but it’s probably safe to say there are quite a few stars who would like to face him.
