They say that anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling, and Edge proved that when he returned after a nine year absence at the Royal Rumble back in January.
Edge later went on to defeat Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36, and it’s been reported that the WWE Hall of Famer signed a 3 year deal with the company.
The Rated R Superstar’s former tag team partner Christian was asked about a potential return during an appearance on Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, and he made it clear that he doesn’t think it’s going to happen.
“I mean, it’s one of those things, right? It’s a completely different injury. You know… I’m pretty content with all that I’ve accomplished in WWE. I’ve pretty much accomplished everything I’ve ever wanted to do, except main event WrestleMania, and let’s be honest – how many people actually get a chance to do that?”
“It’s one of those… I’m 46 years old, you know… and I had some concussion issues. It’s just a matter of… you know, I don’t see it happening. I’m medically disqualified. I just don’t… I’m not sure how I would ever get cleared.”
It sounds like Christian fans shouldn’t hold out hope for one more match.
