Monday Night Raw kicked off with a handicap match as Roman Reigns defended his title against Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens. The match didn’t last very long, as Braun Strowman made his way down to the ring to attack Roman Reigns.
Braun Strowman, Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens all beat Roman Reigns down until Seth Rollins ran down to the ring with a steel chair to make the save. Stephanie McMahon later announced that Roman would defend his US Title in the main event.
Before the match started Roman Reigns attacked Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens outside the ring, and the three men brawled up and down the entrance ramp before the bell rang.
The end of the match came when Roman was trying to get back in the ring, but Owens grabbed his leg as he was in between the ropes. While Owens had Roman’s leg, Jericho hit him with the Codebreaker. Roman then fell to the outside and Kevin Owens powerbombed him into the ring apron.
Jericho and Owens rolled Roman Reigns back into the ring and then Kevin Owens launched him into Jericho who put Roman away with the Codebreaker.
This is Chris Jericho’s first run with the WWE United States Championship.

No wonder raw’s rating is lower than smack down and will continue to go down if this kind of vindictive matches continue to be the order of the day.
